Just another casualty
In the days of aftermath,
Trumped up charges, petty crimes
Fear and loathing on the path.
Accusations, hurled in anger
Pressure cooker, tempers flashed,
In the name of jurisdiction
Camaraderie and friendships trashed.
We’re the actors, we’re the victims
Floating face-down in the bath,
Much too late for intervention
In the days of aftermath.

- By now, I think all of us have heard enough about nursing practice, nursing standards, nursing credibility, nursing credentials, professionalism, evidenced based practice, blah-blah, etc, etc., ad nauseum. There are plenty of writers and journals for all of that stuff, and I encourage them to keep at it, but I must say, it's often quite tedious and boring. I would rather make funny, with a rhyme, and tell the world what's really going on at the bedside.

CAN YOU Speak to reverse discrimination and probation as a popularity contest and the general lack of professionalism in back-biting especially when most nurses on a unit are speaking in another language and are their via nepotism with indifferent uion reps. Is this called toxic NYC hospital nursing or prevalent all over?
one who had worked there as a rn and heard "the white" and two md's who worked with the person reccomended for a better job -so God and u responded-thank you -from a rn mother of the rn !!
